We help people and cats. We also help other animal shelters and rescue groups become "no-kill" by taking their perfectly lovable - but unadopted - cats.
Most of our cats come from Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Collier and Lee Counties - and a number from the Orlando and Tampa areas.
We are involved with "cat issues" throughout Florida and have saved the lives of hundreds of cats that otherwise would have been killed at Animal Control.
While other animal rescue groups also save cats, most do so by taking adoptable cats and getting them adopted. We do some adoptions ourselves, but mainly rely on other no-kill groups to take our adoptables and place them into loving homes.
In addition to saving adoptable cats, we save all types of unadoptable cats including feral, FIV positive, and leukemia positive cats. If they are otherwise healthy, we see no reason to kill them.
We believe that the morally correct thing to do is to provide lifetime care for all cats that can not be adopted. Killing them is immoral - and unnecessary.
Providing lifetime care for these cats is what makes us very different from almost all other animal rescue groups.
All of our cats are tested, micro-chipped, neutered or spayed, and vaccinated. Unfortunately, we cannot take diabetic cats, nor cats that require daily medications, special diets or special care.
